Job Overview

Position Title: Grill Chef

We are looking for a talented and dependable Grill Chef to become a part of our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing breakfast and brunch dishes in a fast-paced environment. Your duties will encompass maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen after food preparation and service, managing leftover food in accordance with safe handling protocols, assisting with the procurement and receipt of food supplies, and fostering positive relationships with colleagues and the student community.

Key SkillsHard Skills:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in cooking
  • Fundamental knife skills: chopping, dicing, slicing, and proper handling techniques

  • Dependability
  • Customer service skills: engaging with students and faculty regularly
Work Environment

This position is entirely on-site.

You will be working at a prominent educational institution, serving in the main dining area that features buffet-style and made-to-order meals, along with various retail dining options including a burger joint, sub shop, taco outlet, and Greek eatery. Additional food service locations on campus include grab-and-go options, coffee shops, and an on-campus pub. While reliable transportation is preferred, it is not mandatory as the campus is accessible via public transportation.
