Job Title:
SIC Electrician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team for a project in Midland, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with blueprints, sketches, and building plans to ensure accurate installation of electrical systems.
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy to ensure high-quality results.
• Prepare layouts using voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders to ensure efficient installation.
• Terminate panels using LOTO procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
• Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
• Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend various types of conduit to ensure efficient electrical connections.
• Understand motor controls and metering to ensure accurate electrical system operation.
• Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices to ensure safe electrical system operation.
• Calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits to ensure efficient electrical system operation.
• Review and compare differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects to ensure accurate electrical system installation.
• Follow directions, plans, and blueprints to ensure accurate electrical system installation.
• Perform work overhead, beneath structures, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria to ensure safe and efficient electrical system operation.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings to ensure accurate electrical system installation.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights to ensure efficient electrical system installation.
• Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations to ensure safe electrical system operation.
• Regular attendance is required, and significant travel may be necessary.
• Perform other duties as required to ensure the success of the project.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Skilled in both written and verbal communication to ensure effective collaboration with team members and customers.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by EMCOR Group to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Observe EMCOR Group and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times to ensure safe and efficient electrical system operation.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
• Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to 50 pounds to ensure safe and efficient electrical system operation.
• Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as confined spaces.
• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.
• Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools to ensure efficient electrical system operation.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
