Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead our Mission Critical team in designing and delivering world-class structural engineering solutions for high-tech building projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading structural design project teams, creating innovative designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structural design project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments.
  • Develop and implement structural design plans, adapting to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
  • Prepare structural equipment specifications, data sheets, and technical bid summaries.
  • Review structural vendor drawings, interface with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in project schedule, scope, budget, staffing, and construction planning.
  • Manage change orders and ensure effective project execution.
  • Apply expert knowledge of structural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
  • Develop non-standard design solutions for complex projects.
  • Conduct quality reviews of production drawings and project-related data.
  • Lead field inspections, installation, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
  • Build relationships with clients, customers, and contractors to develop new business opportunities.
  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.
  • Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements.
  • Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Report project performance and provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the structural engineering practice.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
  • Ensure QA/QC process adherence and effective communication with other engineering disciplines.
  • Comply with company and site safety policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 7 years of structural engineering experience, with EPC project experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design codes (e.g., IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7).
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
