Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Preschool Program Aide to join our team at Save the Children. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will be responsible for providing educational, relational, and social experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children to foster their growth and development. This includes assisting classroom staff with daily activities, maintaining a safe and secure environment, and promoting the agency's values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily classroom management and other duties as assigned
  • Provide custodial support as needed, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • Complete routine kitchen and dining room chores, such as dishwashing, portioning foods, and logging temperatures
  • Participate in food service clean up, inventory, and other tasks as requested
Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Certification as applicable by federal, state, or local Head Start or child care regulations
  • Basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification within 90 days of employment
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to relate sensitively with children and work effectively with staff, parents, and families
