Job Summary:

The DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for childbirth.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers and their families, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring fetal heart rates.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and obstetric emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a school of nursing required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.

Work Environment:

The Labor and Delivery unit at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is a 10-bed unit that provides care to expectant mothers and their families. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including fetal monitoring and ultrasound machines.
