Behavioral Health Specialist

At RightWorks Inc, we provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families in need. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with clients to develop and implement personalized service plans.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to clients in the absence of the Clinical Director or designee.
- Support clients in all aspects of therapy, assist them in requesting and receiving services, and provide them with the tools they need to achieve their objectives.
- Advocate on behalf of clients and their families to obtain necessary medical care, shelter, food, and clothing, as well as mental health therapy.
- Support each client's unique service plan.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, complete necessary paperwork and data entry, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
- Meet with clients regularly at our locations or in the community, at workplaces, residences, and other suitable locations.
- Consult with clients' families, caregivers, or other important individuals with their permission.
- Teach clients essential life skills, such as personal hygiene and job readiness.
- Determine clients' eligibility for Medi-Cal or other benefits and advocate for their continuation as needed.
- Develop financial management plans and approve necessary expenses for clients using representative payee services.
- Provide comprehensive case management services to a defined client group by working collaboratively with the team.
- Offer on-the-spot therapy that is beneficial to clients and aligned with our program's philosophy.
- Drive a personal vehicle for program business, including medication outreach, home visits, client transportation, community meetings, and other activities.
- Focus on clients' wellness, health, and safety.
- Complete documentation in a timely manner as assigned.
- Provide rotating on-call coverage after hours as required by the program.
- 2 years of experience providing behavioral health services as a Case Manager, school counselor, behavioral health tech, or similar position.
- No licensure is required for this role.
