Job Title: Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team at The Spice & Tea Exchange - Corporate. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring each guest receives a stellar experience and is welcomed into the store.
  • Field questions and provide product information, uses, and pricing to guests.
  • Establish rapport with guests to ensure their return and/or word of mouth advertising.
  • Maintain merchandise and product inventory levels throughout the store.
  • Help maintain store appearance by contributing toward daily routines.
  • Assess store inventory levels and notify management of replenishment requirements.
  • Price merchandise with labels, SKUs, prices, and locations.
  • Maintain solid, accurate, and current product knowledge to adequately promote product.
  • Comply with operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation of the store.
  • Contribute to the team effort and embody the Disney keys of Inclusion, Safety, Courtesy, Show and Efficiency.
Requirements:
  • An engaging personality with proven customer focus and all-star customer service skills.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, including Guest Experience Associate, Product Experience Associate, Guest Engagement Associate, and culinary-oriented positions.
  • Strong understanding of the retail sales process, including using exceptional communication skills, cross-selling, up-selling, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work a consistent and reliable schedule, including evening and weekend availability.
  • Ability to work holidays, a plus.
  • Interest and ability to share knowledge of our many product varieties.
  • Ability to pivot and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Appreciates spice aromas.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to operate kitchen tools and food equipment (Tea Bar).
  • Physically able to assemble and prepare merchandising displays.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 100% of the time).
  • Ability to lift and maneuver inventory; up to 35lbs.
  • Consistently work around spices; must not be sensitive to various scents and aromas.
