Driver Position Overview

Ryder System Inc. is hiring CDL A licensed drivers for a solo home daily route.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $29.00 per hour and pay weekly, with an estimated annual salary of $150,080. The schedule includes 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekends.

Job Description

This position involves delivering freight to DC, MD, VA, PA, and NJ using a local home daily route. You will operate a day cab tractor and drive a dry van trailer. The equipment provided includes electric pallet jacks and lift gates. You must have a Hazmat endorsement and at least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past three years.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, detecting and eliminating safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs, loading/unloading freight, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • You must be at least 21 years old and pass a Ryder drug test.
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
  • Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
