We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Matrix Service Company.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with budgets, performing account analysis, recommending adjusting entries, reviewing financial reports, and preparing communication materials for management and external contacts.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reforecasts. Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Account Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Identify and resolve discrepancies, and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Communicate key findings and recommendations to management and external contacts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 4+ years of accounting experience required.
  • Previous experience working at a major public accounting company preferred.
  • General knowledge of construction accounting and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels within the organization.

Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
