Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Mobility Support: Help clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, and assisting with walking or other physical activities, to ensure their safety and independence.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients' physical and mental health to healthcare professionals and family members, to ensure timely interventions and optimal care.
  • Medication Reminders: Assist clients in adhering to their medication schedules by providing timely reminders for each dose, as prescribed by their healthcare provider, to promote medication adherence and safety.
  • Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry, as needed, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in social activities and conversation, to enhance their mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness.
  • Safety: Ensure a safe living environment by checking for and addressing potential hazards, and following infection control protocols, to prevent accidents and infections.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, including changes in clients' conditions and any incidents or observations, to ensure continuity of care and quality improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a valid certification in the state of Georgia.
  • Experience: Previous experience in home care or a related healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals, as well as physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility.
  • Compassion: A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and supporting clients in a compassionate and respectful manner.
