Are you prepared to contribute to a dynamic financial team? The County of Nevada is seeking an Accounting Technician to support the Auditor-Controller's Office. This role is essential in ensuring the safeguarding of fiscal resources through a commitment to accuracy, integrity, transparency, and service by establishing and maintaining internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, verify, and process financial transactions by examining claims, invoices, and related documents for completeness.
  • Prepare payment vouchers.
  • Assist in the formulation of departmental budgets and ensure precise accounting of expenditures.
  • Conduct account reconciliations, journal entries, and generate reports.
  • Provide administrative support, including customer service for both internal and external clients via various communication channels.
  • Utilize multiple software platforms for accounting, recordkeeping, and document management.
  • Compile and analyze data using Microsoft Excel.
