eTeam Inc is looking for a travel nurse RN specializing in Med Surg for a travel nursing position.
Position Overview- Specialty: Med Surg
- Discipline: RN
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 9 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours
- Employment Type: Travel
Shift Details: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Requirements:
Candidates must possess an active Washington state nursing license. Please specify the status of your WA license: Active, In Process, or No License on your profile. If the license is in process, include the application date and estimated issue date.
Travelers who have previously worked as permanent staff at any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for this travel contract.
We are open to candidates with experience as MSW Care Managers (holding either an Associate clinical license or LCISW) or RN Care Managers. Candidates must have a Master's in Social Work and a Washington-issued post-MSW license, such as the licensed social work associate independent clinical.
Experience Required:
Case management and discharge experience are essential. While utilization management experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
Average Daily Census: 18-20
Skills and Qualifications- General Skills: Experience in Acute Hospital settings, working with patients with communication challenges, and familiarity with community programs.
- Case Management Skills: Proficiency in admission criteria, initial evaluations, care planning, discharge planning, and documentation according to coverage criteria.
- Major Disease Processes: Knowledge of Dementia and Stroke is required; familiarity with other conditions such as Cancer, CHF, and Diabetes is preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of CMS, CPT coding, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations is necessary.
- Charting Experience: Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Certifications: BCLS certification is required.
