Grifols is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Biospecimens Specialist I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving biospecimen requests, performing feasibility studies, generating quotes, and coordinating the collection and shipment of biospecimens.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with commercial sales team members to receive and understand customer requests, perform request feasibility, and generate proposed quotes in a timely manner.
- Work closely with sales team members to manage new, existing, and future customer accounts.
- Communicate regularly with external vendors regarding feasibility, new, and existing opportunities.
- Assemble lab kits and other supplies in preparation for obtaining required biospecimen samples and transport them to appropriate laboratories for processing.
- Ship samples externally according to International Air Transport Association (IATA) requirements.
- Create purchase orders in SAP for suppliers and create goods receipts in SAP upon biospecimen shipment arrival.
- Manage and order all supplies required to obtain biospecimens.
- Regularly perform an inventory to identify and discard expired collection tubes, etc.
- Identify and communicate important protocol and/or specimen issues or problems to the sales team and manager in a timely manner.
- Follow established Grifols, Grifols Bio Supplies, and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- IATA certification (may be obtained after hire).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Explicit attention to detail is required.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to participate in multi-functional teams.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within Grifols Bio Supplies and provide excellent customer service.
Grifols offers a competitive salary of $39.35 per hour for US-based remote candidates, depending on training, education, and experience. This position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool. We offer benefits including medical, PTO, up to 5% 401K match, and tuition reimbursement.
