Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant/LPN to join our team at Kettering Health. As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in providing high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals in examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under their direction.
  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information in patients' charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Provide administrative support throughout the practice, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient correspondence.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program (or equivalent) with current certification/registration (CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT), or RMA (through ARMA)) and documented completion of a Medical Assisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • LPN: Graduate of an accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments, and public, follow direction, accept orders, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Able to work under time constraints, multi-task, and work autonomously with little direction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting.
  • Practical knowledge in the following areas: examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion.
  • Experience with use of electronic medical records.
