Palm Careers LLC is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team in Panama City, Florida.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly experienced and certified Histology Technician to work with us in our dermatology laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing histological slides from surgical and biopsy specimens, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality histological slides from various tissue samples, including embedding, microtomy, staining, and labeling.
  • Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment such as tissue processors, embedding stations, microtomes, and stainers.
  • Perform quality control checks on prepared slides to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Maintain accurate records of specimen processing and slide preparation.
  • Stay up-to-date with current literature and techniques in histotechnology to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • ASCP HT/HLT certification and a valid Florida Histology License.
  • Extensive experience in histology, including proficiency in embedding, microtomy, staining, special stains, IHC, and filing blocks and slides.
  • Strong understanding of specimen processing and quality control/quality assurance protocols.
