Job Overview

Keke's Breakfast Cafe - Four Fathers is seeking a Culinary Specialist to join our team at the Lake Nona location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items with precision and efficiency, as well as preparing and portioning ingredients prior to cooking. Additional responsibilities include various tasks related to food and plate preparation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes various cooking equipment such as flat top grills, char-broilers, cook tops, waffle bakers, Panini presses, and fryers to prepare diverse food items.
  • Takes ownership of the quality of food products prepared and served.
  • Consistently adheres to standard portion sizes, cooking techniques, quality benchmarks, and kitchen protocols.
  • Ensures adequate stock levels of food products at line stations to facilitate smooth service.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation, including all cooking and refrigeration equipment.
  • Follows established guidelines for plate presentation and garnishing of dishes.
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all food products in accordance with safety standards.
  • Assists with food preparation tasks during slower periods as required.
  • Properly opens and closes the kitchen, following the designated closing checklist for kitchen stations and assisting colleagues as needed.
  • Participates in routine kitchen cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or the manager on duty.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language(s) of our guests.
  • Exemplary grooming standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm daily, including holidays.
  • Full-time candidates should consider Keke's as their main employment.
  • All employees must wear dark blue jeans with a black belt and black non-slip shoes on their first day.
  • Keke's must be your primary employment location.
