Position Overview:
The Surgical Services Technician plays a crucial role in the outpatient surgical environment, ensuring the meticulous care and utilization of surgical instruments. This position involves preparing supplies and equipment for scheduled surgical procedures in accordance with the preferences of the medical team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper handling and maintenance of surgical instruments.
  • Assemble necessary supplies and equipment for surgical procedures based on physician specifications.
  • Exhibit the ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals and navigate stressful situations.
  • Perform all assigned duties and adhere to the regulations and procedures set forth by relevant licensing boards or agencies.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures of Benefis Health System.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED certification is required.
  • Completion of a surgical scrub technician course is necessary.
  • Prior experience in an operating room setting is required.
  • Two years of previous operating room experience is preferred.
  • Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is preferred.
