Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Associate to join our team at Saylite, a leading manufacturer of commercial lighting fixtures. As an Assembly Associate, you will play a critical role in assembling and packaging our high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble commercial/industrial lighting fixtures with varying degrees of complexity, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
  • Wrap and package finished products, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with our production team to achieve daily production goals and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure all components are included and assembly is correct.
  • Participate in annual inventory counts and maintain confidentiality regarding company business matters.
Requirements
  • Manual assembly experience is a plus, but not required (we will train the right candidate).
  • Previous experience using hand tools is preferred.
  • Excellent dependability/reliability (good attendance is required).
  • Ability to use good judgment and take initiative.
  • Solid problem resolution abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed, which may include some weekends (we will try to provide advance notice when possible).
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned warehouse environment (exposure to heat, cold, dust, etc.).
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds & maneuver up to 8' lighting fixtures.
  • Visual acuity required to read instructions, operate hand tools, written documents, inspect materials, products, etc.
  • Must be able to work standing for long periods of time, stooping, bending, lifting, and in squatting position.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate hand tools, assemble products, handle materials, supplies, etc.
