Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at Lewistown Comprehensive Treatment Center. As a key member of our counseling team, you will provide high-quality, individualized care to patients seeking recovery from opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and a patient-centered approach.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes, utilizing electronic health records and other tools as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and emerging trends in addiction treatment.

Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a social or health services field, with relevant clinical experience.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment principles, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and evidence-based practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an addiction treatment setting, with knowledge of MAT and evidence-based practices.
  • Certification or licensure in a relevant field, such as counseling or social work.
