Job Title: SharePoint Migration Intern

Xcel Energy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SharePoint Migration Intern to join our Regulatory department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the transition of our department's SharePoint infrastructure to the latest version.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development of regulatory projects and execution of regulatory case filings before the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission and the Public Utilities Commission of Texas.
  • Coordinate with other members of Xcel Energy's regulatory department as well as colleagues in operations, legal, resource planning, accounting, finance, treasury, business development and other areas of one of the nation's largest utility companies.
  • Apply project management principles to regulatory case management and navigate the development of regulatory initiatives in the dynamic policy environment of a regulated industry.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in programs such as supply chain, advertising, marketing, safety and health, management, human resources, training, labor relations, public relations, government relations, business administration, legal and regulatory compliance and similar.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) as well as hybrid collaboration applications.
  • SharePoint proficiency, including understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and administration.
  • Technical aptitude, including familiarity with migration tools like SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) and methodologies.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise during the migration process.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Mastery of SharePoint or Super User Accreditation.
