The Emergency Department Patient Ambassador plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by providing non-medical care within the Emergency Department. This position requires a warm and welcoming demeanor to provide assistance to all patients and visitors entering the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate continuous communication with patients, families, Emergency Department staff, and Access Care staff to improve and expedite patient-centered care.
- Recognize potential crisis situations and advocate for security involvement when needed.
- Act as a liaison between the waiting room and the main ED.
- Provide a high level of customer service to patients and their families.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification within three months of hire.
