Job Summary:

Clarvida - Georgia is seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will work with a team of counselors, nurses, therapists, and case managers to provide services to adult clients in the community focusing on aspects of substance abuse and other mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of client strengths, substance abuse, mental health treatment needs, and biopsychosocial histories.
  • Meet with clients regularly to provide individual and group SA counseling, intervention techniques, and crisis assessments, and link clients to community resources as needed.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address client needs and goals.

Requirements:

  • Required certification as CAC-I, CAC-II, GCADC-I, CADC, CADC-T or CCIT.
  • Valid GA driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Satisfactory results of Criminal background check.
