Chef

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Cottonwood Health & Rehabilitation, a premier assisted living and memory care provider in the Western United States.

Job Summary:

The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations, as well as company standards. This role requires a quick and diligent individual who can follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of all basic food production skill sets with the ability to perform these error-free and meet the company quality standards
• Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner

Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position
• Experience and/or knowledge of special diets, meal preparation for large groups preferred
• Safe food handling techniques are required
• Ability to read and understand recipes
• Work in a team environment
• Work flexible shifts
• Handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
