Job Title: Bus Driver

We are seeking a qualified Bus Driver to join our team at Galt Joint Union High School District. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their well-being and safety throughout the journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of students on board, including monitoring their behavior and providing assistance as needed.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, bus maintenance, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with school administrators and other staff members to ensure smooth transportation operations.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A or B California Commercial Driver's License with Passenger, Air Brake, and School Bus endorsements.
  • Valid California School Bus Driver Special Certificate (DL 45).
  • Valid medical card approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DL51A).
  • California DMV K-4 driving record printout, dated within 30 days.
  • First Aid certificate or passage of the California Highway Patrol First Aid test on DL45.
  • Ability to pass a Physical Assessment Exam and Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) fingerprint clearance.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug & alcohol screening.
  • Current TB test.
