Responsibilities- Apply basic nursing principles, practices, and techniques following established healthcare procedures and standards.
- Operate in a patient care environment where the focus is on the healthcare of individuals.
- Seek guidance and advice from more experienced colleagues and focus on gaining knowledge and experience to perform more independently and participate in work of higher complexity.
- Licenses and Certifications: Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or eligible to be licensed in the State of South Dakota.
- Knowledge of Professional Nursing Theory and practices, recent developments in the field of professional nursing applicable to the area of assignment, and clinical procedures.
- Ability to keep records, follow instructions, operate a variety of medical equipment, make reports on observations, apply general nursing techniques and practices, maintain a helpful and sympathetic attitude toward patients, communicate effectively, and deal effectively with patients and staff.
