Become a vital part of our Aquatics team at The Boar's Head Resort this summer season in our state-of-the-art Aquatics facility.
Enjoy working outdoors while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all guests. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of the pool and its surroundings, delivering exceptional customer service, and enforcing all relevant policies and procedures. Collaborate closely with the Aquatics Manager to monitor pool chemistry and assist in staff training and in-service sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vigilant surveillance of multiple pools and locations, ensuring a safe environment for all patrons.
- Implement and uphold all policies outlined in the Aquatics Staff Manual.
- Play an essential role in executing the Emergency Action Plan when necessary.
- Accurately document incidents using the designated reporting forms.
- Assist the Aquatics Manager in preparing the facility for operation, which includes:
- Cleaning and arranging poolside furniture (e.g., umbrellas, chairs, tables).
- Maintaining cleanliness in all Aquatics facilities.
- Overseeing pool operations in partnership with the Aquatics Manager.
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience in lifeguarding is required.
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for Professional Rescuer, and AED are mandatory.
- Ability to swim 300 yards continuously and retrieve a 10-pound brick.
- Exhibit a high level of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Strong swimming skills.
- Experience in teaching or coaching swimming.
- Background in guest services.
