We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design team on complex projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and managing electrical systems for a wide range of projects, including mission-critical facilities, laboratories, and advanced manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and design management on multiple simultaneous design projects
- Produce designs that meet engineering requirements and ensure complete documentation of engineering requirements
- Prepare and adhere to budgeted hours for project and perform or oversee load calculations
- Develop system applications, equipment sizing and calculations, and coordinate designs with architecture and other engineering disciplines
- Signing and sealing contract documents, overseeing construction administration, and supporting recruitment and hiring efforts
- Assure quality and completeness of the engineering design, assess project staffing needs, and monitor conformance to project scope
- Prepare technical reports and lead client meetings regarding engineering systems
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 15+ years of engineering experience in the commercial building design and construction industry with a current Professional Engineers license in the US
- 5+ years of experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients either as a project manager or as the engineering lead
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies, demonstrated experience designing to California building standards (e.g. Title 24, OSHPD), and experience with design and construction of commercial, industrial, and utility scale power distribution systems
- Experience with designing electrical and life safety systems based on NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, and ANSI/EIA/TIA compliant, technical writing experience and proficiency, and proficiency in MS Office products
- Familiarity with REVIT and knowledge of BIM, modeling electrical systems with SKM, ETAP, EZ-Power or other IEEE compliant modeling tools, and specifying electrical equipment including transformers, switchboards, panelboards, overcurrent protective devices, conductors, raceway, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, motors, and variable frequency drives
We offer a competitive salary range of $185,000 - $230,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health care, vision, dental, life, travel, and disability plans, paid time off, matching 401(k) Retirement Plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and eligibility to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
