We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Technician to join our team at S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. in Chicopee, MA.
The successful candidate will work as a Drilling Assistant to support the operation of a test boring rig with an experienced Driller. Key responsibilities include safely assisting the driller with all aspects of drill rig operation and maintenance, including soil boring and sampling, rock coring, measuring water levels, installing monitoring wells, and operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
Requirements:
- CDL Class A license required
- Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations
- Ability to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions
- Regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with overnight stays on some weekdays
