Alameda Health System is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to deliver critical patient care within a dynamic emergency response environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitates patient needs by collaborating with other healthcare providers.
- Administers medications, manages skin and wound care, and performs essential daily living activities.
- Develops, executes, assesses, and modifies nursing care plans; maintains accurate records and documentation.
- Collects and evaluates patient information to address nursing requirements; collaborates with physicians during procedures and diagnostic assessments.
- May supervise telemetry monitoring staff; notifies primary nurses of significant rhythm changes and potential life-threatening conditions; interprets telemetry data as required.
- Organizes and oversees the quality of care provided by team members; assumes leadership responsibilities as a charge nurse when designated.
- Contributes to a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families; ensures compliance with infection control protocols.
- Engages in the application of patient care standards, infection control measures, and quality assurance practices; assists in research initiatives and participates in departmental meetings.
- Evaluates patient care against established standards and criteria; monitors patients for critical changes and initiates necessary interventions; educates patients and families on healthcare and preventive measures.
Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program is required; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of six months as a Clinical Nurse I with Alameda Health System or equivalent full-time experience in a comparable setting; recent experience may necessitate completion of a refresher course.
Licenses/Certifications:Required: Valid Registered Nurse license in California.
Preferred: TNCC certification for Emergency Department roles.
Required: ACLS certification as per facility guidelines.
Required: BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Preferred: CCRN certification for critical care roles.
Additional certifications may be required based on specific departmental needs.
