Job Overview

Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Lead Specialist to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as a liaison between management, staff, and physicians, resolving routine matters and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Leads and initiates problem resolution within the work unit, promoting a positive and dynamic work environment.
  • Executes above-average clinical and critical thinking skills in challenging procedures and patient care situations.
  • Mentors and guides team members to help build confidence and competency in skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Develops and implements quality improvement activities, focusing on optimal patient safety, quality outcomes, and customer service.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with two years of ICU, Neonatal, and/or ER experience (preferred at HMCCH).
  • Lead/supervisor experience is essential.
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner - State Licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA)
