Role Overview:

The Culinary Service Associate plays a vital role in the food service environment, assisting in all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and sanitation within the kitchen and dining areas. This position involves preparing food displays, welcoming customers at the service counter, taking special orders, and addressing customer inquiries regarding specialty items.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certification in food handling and sanitation methods, or ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in customer service.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Demonstrated experience in food service operations.
  • Prior experience in food preparation within a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare foods that require minimal preparation time.
  • Restock the serving line as needed.
  • Assist in portioning, serving, and packaging food items.
  • Prepare a variety of food items, including sandwiches, salads, and fruit trays.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all customers.
  • Assist with the storage of food products and supplies upon delivery.
  • Follow recipes and product guidelines for cooking and serving various food items.
  • Operate kitchen equipment for food preparation and ensure cleanliness of workstations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Perform dishwashing and sanitation duties for all kitchenware.
  • Replenish dining area supplies as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Comply with all food safety standards and regulations.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Develop skills relevant to the position.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand and move within the kitchen for extended periods.
  • Some bending and squatting may be necessary.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including drug testing and background checks.
