About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a passion for cardiovascular care. You will work closely with our experienced team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, from admission to discharge. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our Cardiac Cath Lab, where you will perform special procedures, transport patients, and provide education to patients and families.
Responsibilities- Administer medications using all routes as ordered
- Transport patients to and from the Cath Lab
- Perform and document care for all admissions and recovery room patients
- Actively participate in continuing education on the unit
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Serve as a liaison for the Cath Lab to promote physician, interdepartmental, and intra-departmental relationships
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current BLS & ACLS certification
- At least one year ICU/CCU or comparable ER, cath lab, or recovery experience
