As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in our retail pharmacies, working under the direction of a pharmacist to provide safe, rational, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to an efficient work environment by answering phone calls, screening and prioritizing calls, and adjusting priorities to accommodate changing work demands.
Assist in maintaining departmental facilities, equipment, and materials to promote efficiency, health, and safety.
Interpret, clarify, and enter orders for medications and supplies into the pharmacy computer, and assist in keeping the pharmacy free of clutter and dust.
Fills, labels, and packages medications and pharmaceuticals accurately and efficiently.
Handle out-window procedures effectively, exceeding patient expectations with kindness and professionalism.
Actively participate in training new personnel and demonstrate basic problem-solving skills for pharmacy software and point-of-sale systems.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required. No previous experience necessary.
Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
Registered as State Certified with the SC Board of Pharmacy.
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
Excellent communication skills, team-orientation, and customer service skills required. Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods.
Work Environment
Variable shifts, with the ability to work outdoors as business needs occur. Ability to stand for extended periods or walk frequently as business needs occur.
