Reports to: Director of Trading and Research

Position Overview:

This role is essential in executing various functions related to the Discipline & Research Services, including securities trading, research, reporting, processing, and ensuring compliance with diverse operational policies and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be proficient in various portfolio measurement software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute securities trades initiated by Portfolio Advisors and act as the primary communication link with executing brokers.
  • Serve as a liaison between external brokers and the operations and settlement team.
  • Compile and prepare trading reports that document trade volumes and broker compliance.
  • Generate security research reports and necessary documentation to track the performance and financial health of individual security holdings.
  • Develop various reports and schedules for management across different investment styles and strategies.
  • Coordinate and cast votes on all proxy ballots for client investments, adhering to outside manager recommendations.
  • Oversee the processing of client portfolio performance software and maintain the securities database.
  • Update strategy models and classifications related to investments and assets within the management system.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years of relevant job experience.

  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and job-related software.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word, intermediate in MS Excel, and basic in MS PowerPoint.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or enrollment in a related four-year degree program. Experience in trade management procedures, securities markets, and investment portfolio management concepts is advantageous.
