Position Summary: The Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) is responsible for delivering respiratory care services in accordance with established protocols and physician directives. This role involves interaction with patients in various hospital settings, ensuring adherence to New York State regulations and departmental guidelines.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: Completion of an accredited Associate Degree Program in Respiratory Therapy or an equivalent program recognized by the Department of the State Board.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in New York State.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification is preferred.

Work Environment: This position is part-time, requiring 24 hours of service per week, with evening and night shifts scheduled. The role involves working two shifts per week from 6 PM to 6:30 AM, including every other weekend.

Department: Pulmonary Medicine

Compensation: Hourly wage commensurate with experience.
