Senior Director of Employee Relations

Newell Brands is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Employee Relations to join our team in Atlanta. As a key member of our HR leadership team, you will play a critical role in fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment and developing our global employee relations strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement Newell's employee relations strategy, aligning with the company's values and business objectives.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership on complex employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and investigations.
- Partner closely with senior management and business leaders to address employee relations challenges and promote a supportive workplace culture.
- Lead and manage the resolution of workplace conflicts, employee grievances, and support organizational change initiatives.
- Advise and coach managers on effective employee relations practices, conflict resolution, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and external advisors to manage risk and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of employee relations professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to promote professional growth and team effectiveness.
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience in leading an employee relations capability in a multinational organization.
- Experience building an employee relations organization from the early stages.
- Experience working with employee relations and case management software.
- Experience building, developing, and managing a team.
- Experience working in a global or multinational organization with diverse employee populations, and awareness of international complexities as it relates to employee relations impacts.
- Experience partnering with and advising to all levels of leadership, including CHRO and other C-suite leaders.
