Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Ombudsman Educational Services. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in implementing the Positive Behavior Support program in our schools, working closely with students, teachers, and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the Positive Behavior Support program in our schools, working with students, teachers, and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address interpersonal or family issues that interfere with school performance.
  • Maintain all required paperwork, including communication logs and notes regarding services provided to students.
  • Conduct interviews with students, family members, and school personnel to gather information required to assess student social, emotional, and behavioral adjustment to school and the community.
  • Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed, in adherence to company, school, state, and federal regulations and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in IEP team meetings, facilitating as needed.
  • Collaborate with education and social services professionals to develop appropriate agency services for students and their families.
  • Provide case management functions for students, including coordination of parent meetings, emergency transportation requests, and coordination with therapists outside the school setting.
  • Collaborate and consult with teachers, parents/guardians, district personnel, and service providers to find effective solutions to learning and behavior problems.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with passage of basic skills test.
  • Active RBT certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification in the approved crisis management system.
  • Prior experience and highly skilled in working with applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Prior experience working with students with autism and/or related disabilities.
  • Prior experience working in a special or alternate education setting preferred.
