Child Care Assistant Teacher II

As a Child Care Assistant Teacher II at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our assigned groups. Your primary focus will be on creating a nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development in each child. You will work closely with other caregivers to develop and implement activities that challenge children within their appropriate developmental levels, promoting confidence and well-being through successful interactions with adults, peers, and their physical environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized care and attention to children in assigned groups, prioritizing their unique needs and developmental frameworks.
- Assist in creating a safe and engaging environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
- Develop and implement activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth in children, aligning with their individual developmental levels.
- Collaborate with other caregivers to plan and implement daily routines, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 40-clock-hour Child Care Training (Part I and Part II courses) and 5-clock-hour Early Literacy and Language Development required.
- 18 months of experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use correct grammar and spelling in writing parent notes, incident reports, and communication boards.
- Ability to work and plan with other caregivers in a team setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and attention to detail skills.
- Flexibility in working with several age groups of children.
- Interest in learning early childhood development.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and respectful attitude towards children.
