Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and radiograph results
  • Position patients for radiographs according to departmental standard operating procedures
  • Recognize and report patient motor abnormalities to the Radiologist
  • Operate equipment for transferring computed images to film and archival of disc memory to tape
  • Utilize film markers and ensure images are properly labeled
  • Key in patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisition
  • Arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and supportive devices for patients

Requirements:

  • Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
  • Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required
  • 1-3 years of technical experience, required
  • New Grads welcomed to apply
