Job Overview

Groundworks is seeking a skilled and experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team in Kent, OH. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for leading production projects involving metal stud framing, drywall installation, painting, and other carpentry tasks. You will work closely with our team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead production projects, including metal stud framing, drywall installation, painting, and other carpentry tasks
  • Take measurements and prepare job sites
  • Install drywall, fixtures, and fittings
  • Select and evaluate materials for potential defects
  • Read and interpret designs to meet specifications
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other tradesmen
  • Follow all standards for remodeling projects
  • Perform finish carpentry, including trim and flooring work
  • Install walls, floors, ceilings, and other materials
  • Fit and install window frames, doors, and door hardware

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of construction-related field leadership and installation experience
  • A valid driver's license and driving record that meets company standards
  • Knowledge of carpentry and construction principles
  • Ability to operate equipment and train others to do so
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
