Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at St. Vincent Hospital. As a casual RN, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families during this critical period of their lives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in department-specific quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff as needed.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient care plans.
  • Derive culturally and age-appropriate expected outcomes involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in systematic peer review and obtain informal feedback regarding one's own practice from patients, peers, professional colleagues, and others.
Requirements
  • Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in area of specialty.
