Role Summary
The position entails assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Support physicians with endoscopic interventions as directed by a registered nurse, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to patients.
- Prepare and organize necessary supplies and instruments according to physician preferences; manage inventory and maintain cleanliness in endoscopy suites.
- Assist in coordinating patient appointments and rescheduling as necessary.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors; comply with all organizational policies and standards, focusing on time and resource management.
- Encourage personal and professional development by fulfilling continuing education requirements and supporting departmental objectives; serve as a mentor to junior staff.
- Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate care by providing personalized experiences to all patients and colleagues, aligning with Memorial Hermann's service standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
