Small Engine Mechanic

Blanchard Equipment Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team in the Service Department. As an Agricultural Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment.

• Diagnostic and Repair Services: Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
• Service Training and Development: Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Safety Protocols: Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Time and Material Management: Account for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties.

• Experience: 1+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• Technical Skills: Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Knowledge and Certifications: Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment. Basic Service Technician certification preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
• License: Valid drivers license is required. Fork lift license preferred.
