Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receives patients, explains the method of procedure, and ensures patient comfort.
- Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
- Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
- Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes the work area.
- Keeps accurate records, assists with scheduling of the ultrasound, and ensures patient flow is smooth.
- Assists radiologists with interventional procedures as ordered.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic imaging and excellent communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and relevant experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Work Environment:
The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
