As a Senior Paint Process Engineer, you will be engaged in a centralized manufacturing engineering function or assembly operation where innovation and initiative are essential, alongside independent decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the processes for Paint Systems including Sealer, Pretreatment, Paint Mixing, and Color Booths across two facilities.
Manage Paint Automation systems, including up to 100 FANUC robotic units.
Supervise UAW union hourly workforce.
Define manufacturing processes while managing Dangerous Goods, PFEMA, PCP, PSPM site, and deviations such as PQRS, Film Builds, and the training and development of team members.
Consider human factors in process design.Ensure efficient material flow within Paint and Sealer systems.
Provide technical guidance and oversight for external vendor partnerships.
Engagement may include the development and testing of cutting-edge process technologies.
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, including supervisory roles.
At least 5 years of experience in PT/ED.
Mechanical expertise with the capability to troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
Proven ability to independently resolve problems.
Competence in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FANUC Robots including models P-155, P-200, P-500, P-700, S-500, M-710, and M-2000.
