Job Summary:

The Los Angeles County Bar Association - LACBA is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their expanding insurance subrogation practice. As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with a highly-regarded partner handling complex insurance matters with a focus on subrogation claims representing the insurance company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cases from inception to conclusion, including drafting and filing complaints, interviewing witnesses, selecting experts, drafting discovery, conducting depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and engaging in settlement discussions.
  • Work closely with corporate clients to understand their needs and provide expert legal advice.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of property civil litigation experience representing insurance companies.
  • Admission to the New Jersey and New York bar; other state bar admissions is a plus.
  • Strong writing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

  • A competitive salary range starting at $85K, with more available commensurate with experience.
