Position Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to deliver high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive medical services to individuals of all ages and genders, in line with the scope of training.

Providers may be assigned to various locations based on organizational needs. Clinic schedules typically include one evening per week and 1-2 Saturdays each month.

This role may also involve supervising physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners, as well as training resident physicians or other healthcare interns.

Required Qualifications:
To provide continuous, comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, candidates must:

  • Gather patient histories
  • Perform or request diagnostic tests
  • Make diagnoses and prescribe medications as needed
  • Administer vaccinations and conduct follow-up examinations
  • Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenance
  • Prepare medical records, clinical reports, and correspondence
  • Support quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with management and healthcare providers
  • Complete all required training for the position
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Licensure and Certification:
Candidates must possess an active Illinois State Medical License, a DEA certificate, and be Board Certified or Board Eligible as per governing board guidelines. Providers are responsible for maintaining their certifications as required by their role and by law, providing verification and recertification when requested.

Experience:
Experience should align with the scope of training, and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is preferred.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must successfully perform all essential duties. The following are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an internship and accredited residency program
  • Current driver's license and auto insurance
  • Current and unrestricted medical license in Illinois
  • Current and unrestricted DEA Certificate
  • Completion of all required Continuing Medical Education
