Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team in Annandale, Virginia.
Job SummaryThe Mammography Technologist will administer sound patient care practices, complete ancillary tasks, and maintain equipment and exam rooms in a neat and safe condition. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of radiologic principles, anatomy, and pathology processes, and provide clinical services according to radiology practice standards.
Responsibilities- Administer sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures.
- Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
- Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
- Provide clinical services according to radiology practice standards.
- Certifications: Radiologic Technologist - Mammography within 12 months of hire, Basic Life Support upon start, American Registered Radiologic Technologists upon start, Radiologic Technologist-Mammo ARRT 12 months upon acceptance of the offer.
- Licensure: Licensed Radiologic Technologist Within 12 Months.
- Experience: None required.
- Education: Vocational / Technical Radiology, Graduate of an accredited school of radiography, AART required.
