Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities.

The Radiation Therapist will administer radiation therapy treatments to patients under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation therapy principles and be able to accurately deliver and record treatments.

• Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments accurately and efficiently.
• Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into electronic medical records.
• Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedules and submitting correct billing information.
• Cut blocks and make custom molds as needed.
• Interpret computerized treatment plans and complete simple mu calculations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Valid state license for radiation therapy.
• 0-3 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.

The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds and have corrected vision and hearing.
