Culinary Sales Representative- Events/Roadshow

Job Overview

Zwilling J.A. Henckels is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Culinary Sales Representative to join our Roadshow/Events team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our premium products at various Costco locations and other retailers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform product demonstrations and deliver scripted pitches to drive sales
  • Close deals by answering customer questions and overcoming objections
  • Create an energetic and fun event experience, providing exceptional customer service
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and memorize scripted pitches
  • Achieve consistent sales that meet or exceed monthly and annual sales objectives
  • Set up, break down, and merchandise demo booths/pop-up shops, adhering to visual standards
  • Take inventory and communicate replenishment needs
  • Communicate regularly with the management team, providing information and feedback

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience in direct or pitch-style sales is ideal
  • Chef or food service experience is a plus
  • Theater experience is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to work independently
  • Strong public speaking skills in front of a live audience
  • Reliable transportation to various locations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

Compensation and Benefits

A single roadshow consists of a 10-day sales period, with a schedule that includes Thursday evening booth set-up, 10 consecutive days of product demonstration and sales, and Monday-Friday and Saturday-Sunday sales days. Pay includes hourly base pay, aggressive sales bonus/commission structure, paid drive time, mileage, and air travel if necessary. Most reps average $20-$30/hour (hourly + commission) in their first months.
